The administration and trade union committee of the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Astronomy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the United Trade Union Committee of Scientists of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), are launching a creative craft competition, “Road to the Stars,” as part of the All-Russian Space Week.

Employees of all institutes of the Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as their family members (children, grandchildren, spouses), are invited to participate in the competition.

Third parties are also welcome. The competition will be held from March 16 to April 10, 2026. Submissions will be accepted from March 16, 2026, to April 4, 2026.

The results will be announced and published on April 6-8, 2026. The competition will be held in the following categories: “Space Technology” (models of rockets, satellites, lunar rovers, space stations); “Alien World” (planets, aliens, flying saucers, fantastic landscapes); “Star Tale” (stories from books, films, and cartoons on space themes). REGULATIONS for the creative craft competition “Road to the Stars,” dedicated to Space Week (April 6-12, 2026) Goal: To develop interest in cosmonautics, astronomy, and space physics through artistic expression. Objectives: – To engage children and parents in the cultural life of the Federal Research Center “Yakutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (YSC SB RAS); – Expanding the horizons of children and adults by popularizing knowledge about achievements in the field of cosmonautics; – Creating a festive atmosphere at the Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (YSC SB RAS) as part of Space Week; – Organizing a thematic exhibition at the museum of the Yu.G. Shafer Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences – a separate division of the Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISRC SB RAS).

General Provisions

1.1. These Regulations define the general procedure for organizing and conducting, summing up the results, and awarding the winners of the “Road to the Stars” creative competition, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight.

1.2. The “Road to the Stars” creative competition is organized by the administration and trade union committee of the Institute of Crystallography and Astronomy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the United Trade Union Committee of Scientists of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Participants

2.1. Employees of the Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as their family members (children, grandchildren, spouses), are invited to participate in the Competition; outsiders are also permitted.

2.2. Participation is voluntary.

2.3. Both individual and group (family) participation is permitted.

2.4. The Competition is held in the following age groups: Younger Group: Preschool-age children; Middle Group: Schoolchildren in grades 1–5; Older Group: Schoolchildren in grades 6–11; Adult Group: Employees and adult family members. Date and Procedure

3.1. The competition will be held from March 16 to April 10, 2026.

3.2. Submissions will be accepted from March 16, 2026, to April 4, 2026.

3.3. The results will be announced and published on April 6-8, 2026.

3.5. Participants may submit no more than one entry in each category.

3.6. Entries submitted after the specified deadlines will not be considered and will not be accepted for participation in the competition.

3.7. The winning entries will remain in the IKFIA SB RAS Museum.

Competition Categories 4.1 The competition is held in the following categories: “Space Technology” (models of rockets, satellites, lunar rovers, and space stations);

Competition Entry Requirements

5.1. Crafts made using any arts and crafts technique are accepted: Papercraft, origami; Sculpting (plasticine, clay, salt dough);

Working with fabric, felt, and thread;

Modeling with cardboard, wood, foam, etc.;

Construction from parts;

Crafts made from natural or waste materials.

5.2. Only three-dimensional works or works with three-dimensional compositions are accepted for participation in the Competition.

Flat drawings and appliqués are not allowed.

The maximum size of the work is 30 x 30 cm.

5.3. The creative work must correspond to the Competition theme.

5.4. Works must have a presentable and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

5.5. Each work must be accompanied by a label, securely attached to the craft, containing:

Title of the work;

The last and first name of the author (or family group);

Age of the author (for children) or the category “Family Work”;

Contact phone number of the parent/employee.

Evaluation Criteria The jury will evaluate the works according to the following criteria (from 1 to 5 points): – Relevance to the Competition theme “Road to the Stars”;

– Originality of the idea and creative approach;

– Quality of execution, accuracy;

– Difficulty of execution (taking into account the age group);

– Artistic expressiveness and imagination. Competition Jury

7.1. The jury will be formed by the Competition Organizer

. 7.2. The jury will include IKFIA SB RAS staff and representatives of the Competition Organizer.

7.3. The jury has the right to establish special diplomas and prizes. Summation and Award Ceremony

8.1. The competition results will be announced from April 6 to 8, 2026.

8.2. During the summing up, the jury will determine the winners of first, second, and third place in each nomination and in each age category.

8.3. The winners will be awarded certificates, and the participants will be awarded diplomas.

8.4. The competition results will be published on the official website of the Institute of Crystallographic Infrastructure of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICFIA SB RAS) (https://ikfia.ysn.ru/) in the “News” section.

8.5. The awards ceremony for the winners and participants of the competition will take place on April 10 at a gala meeting dedicated to Cosmonautics Day. The organizing committee will inform the participants of the exact time of the concert in advance.

8.6. An exhibition of competition entries will be held from April 9 to 17 in the foyer of the Institute of Crystallographic Infrastructure of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
