Dear colleagues!

The Yu.G. Shafer Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is holding the IV Summer Scientific School of Young Cosmophysicists from August 28 to 31, 2024.

The School‘s topics include the following research areas:

1) Astrophysics of cosmic rays;

2) Solar–terrestrial physics (atmospheric physics, magnetosphere and ionosphere physics);

3) Experimental instruments and techniques, applied tasks.

Young scientists, teachers, graduate students and senior students of universities under the age of 39 can become participants of the School. Within the framework of the School, a competition for the best oral presentation is planned among the participants.

The School program will include lectures, oral and poster presentations.

The form of the event: hybrid (face-to-face and remote). There is no registration fee. To participate in the work of the School, you must register and submit abstracts on the event‘s website https://indico.ysn.ru/event/13 until June 30, 2024 The venue is the main building of the Yu.G. Shafer Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Yakutsk, Lenin Ave., 31) and the Yakutsk cosmic ray station (5 km of the Pokrovsky Tract, p. 12). It is planned to publish an electronic collection of abstracts (before the start of School) and an electronic collection of papers indexed in the RSCI. The requirements for the reports will be published in the second information letter. The preparation of expert opinions is mandatory.

Key dates: The deadline for accepting applications and abstracts is June 30, 2024.

The deadline for receiving reports is September 16, 2024.

The School will be held on August 28 – 31, 2024.
