The work of the All-Russian Conference with international participation “Dynamic Processes in the Middle and Upper Atmosphere” and the IV Summer Scientific School of Young Cosmophysicists has started

Today, August 28, 2024, in accordance with the plan of meetings, conferences and symposia approved by the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences for 2024,
the work of two scientific conferences began at the Institute – the All-Russian Conference with international participation “Dynamic Processes in the Middle and Upper Atmosphere”,
dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 75th anniversary of the Yakut Scientific Center of the SB RAS, and the IV Summer Scientific School of Young Cosmophysicists.

The main goal of the conference “Dynamic processes in the middle and upper atmosphere”
is to discuss the latest results of research carried out in the field of physics of the middle and upper atmosphere, solar-terrestrial connections.

Scientists conducting research in the field of atmospheric physics, ionosphere, magnetosphere and related fields are invited to participate,
with reports on the results and discussion of new research methods in the following areas:

1. Research of magnetospheric-ionospheric connections and auroral phenomena;

2. Research of dynamic processes in the upper and middle atmosphere;

3. Space weather and climate processes;

4. Remote sensing of atmospheric parameters;

5. Instruments and methods for experimental studies of the upper and middle atmosphere.

More complete information about the conference “Dynamic Processes in the Middle and Upper Atmosphere” can be found on its website.

In parallel, with the support of the SO NPO “Scientific and Educational Foundation for Support of Young Scientists of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” NOFMU,
the IV Summer Scientific School of Young Cosmophysicists was launched.

The School’s topics include the following scientific areas:

1) Astrophysics of cosmic rays;

2) Solar-terrestrial physics (physics of the atmosphere, physics of the magnetosphere and ionosphere);

3) Instruments and experimental techniques, applied problems.

Participants of the School are young scientists and teachers, graduate students and senior university students under the age of 39.

More complete information about the IV Summer Scientific School of Young Cosmophysicists can be found on its website.

The venue of the events is the building of the Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy named after. Yu.G.Shafer of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Yakutsk, Lenin Ave., 31).
