Aiming at perpetuating the name and memory of the three-time Champion of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the two-time Champion of the city of Yakutsk, Candidate for Master of Sports, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the first organizer of geomagnetic research at the Shafer Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy,  Siberian Branch,  Russian Academy of Sciences (SHICRA SB RAS), a chess enthusiast Afanasy Afanasyevich Danilov, the Trade Union Committee of SHICRA SB RAS together with the Republican Chess and Drafts Center holds the Republican Blitz Chess Tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Afanasy Afanasyevich Danilov.

The Tournament will take place on October 23 from 10.00 am in the Republican Chess and Checkers Center at Yakutsk, Yaroslavsky St., 19/2.

Registration of participants on October 23 at 9.00 am.

The Tournament is held according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds. Time control: 5 minutes + 3 seconds per move. Participants are allowed subject to an entrance fee of 300 rubles. The Tournament will be submitted for calculation of the Russian rating.
