In memoriam of V.K. Yolshin

Viktor Konstantinovich Yolshin, 76, one of the oldest scientists of the Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, died after a long illness in St. Petersburg on September 2, 2022.

Victor Konstantinovich over the years of work has proved himself to be a wise politician and scientist, an active public figure and a competent leader. He was a talented organizer, deeply understood the tasks facing the Institute, which was fully manifested in the post of Deputy Director for Research. He successfully solved the problems of managing the Institute, being responsible for financial policy. Great confidence and full compliance with the position held was confirmed by his repeated election to the position of Deputy Director for Research.

The management and staff of the Institute express their deepest condolences to the relatives, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. The bright memory of Viktor Konstantinovich will forever remain in our hearts.
